Hand & Upper Extremity Surgeon Joins WNY’s Largest Orthopaedics Group
BUFFALO, NY — Western New York’s largest orthopaedics and sports medicine group, UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine (UBMDOSM), continues to grow with the addition of Lindsay R. Kosinski, MD, a fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon specialized in the treatment of various conditions of the hand, wrist and elbow.
Dr. Kosinski completed her fellowship in hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery at the University of Colorado. Prior to that, she completed her residency in orthopaedic surgery at Brown University / Rhode Island Hospital.
“As a Buffalo native, it is a privilege to return home and practice in the community I grew up in,” says Dr. Kosinski. “I understand the significance of upper extremity limitations in daily life, and dedicate my practice to effective communication, education and well-rounded care for each and every patient.”
A graduate of the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Kosinski was awarded the Haffenreffer House Staff Excellence Award for Outstanding Performance throughout her residency, in addition to several awards for excellence in teaching and scientific research. She currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at the University at Buffalo, and is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Association Emerging Leaders Program.
“I believe in patient-centered care and working as a comprehensive team with my patients and therapists to find a solution for their various upper extremity conditions, helping them return to work, hobbies and activities,” says Dr. Kosinski. “I devote myself to the betterment of my patients, trainees and the field of orthopaedic surgery, and to caring for the community that allowed me to build my career.”
The addition of Dr. Kosinski strengthens UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine’s growing team of highly credentialed experts.
Dr. Kosinski will be seeing patients in Williamsville at the 716 Health Complex at 111 North Maplemere Road, and in Orchard Park at the BrookBridge Medical Building at 5959 Big Tree Road.
