Join Us in Creating Change and Empowering Western New Yorkers With Life-Saving Skills
Every second matters during a cardiac emergency. Knowing how to recognize cardiac arrest and respond with CPR and an AED can mean the difference between life and death.
UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine and our community partners are working together to increase CPR and AED awareness and education throughout Western New York. Through a variety of informational sessions, hands-only CPR demonstrations and AED training opportunities, we’re helping people gain the knowledge and confidence they need to respond when an emergency happens.
The mission of our Hands-Only CPR & AED Outreach and Training Program is to create a network of AEDs and trained rescuers in Western New York and beyond — one that spans generations, delivers culturally informed training and leaves no community behind.
To date, over 44,000 Western New Yorkers have been empowered with life-saving CPR/AED skills. From schools and workplaces to community events, athletic organizations and other local groups, our goal is to make CPR and AED education accessible to as many people as possible.
With your support, we can continue expanding these educational opportunities and reaching underserved and at-risk communities to help ensure more people are prepared to act in those critical first few minutes before professional help arrives.
Your donation can help us equip more people with the skills and confidence to save a life.
