Hand and Upper Extremity Specialist Joins UBMD Orthopaedics
BUFFALO, NY – Western New York’s largest orthopaedic and sports medicine group continues to grow with the addition of Ross F. Cole, M.D., a hand and upper extremity specialist.
Dr. Cole completed his hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery with UMBD Orthopaedics through the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo.
Born in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada and raised in Depew, NY, Cole is thrilled to remain in the Buffalo area and stay on with UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine (UBMDOSM) team as a full-time physician.
“My goal as a practicing orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty training in hand and upper extremity surgery is multifaceted,” says Cole. “I believe patients deserve the utmost devotion from a dedicated surgeon who is willing to help them, by whatever means necessary, to achieve a desired solution to their problem.”
Cole is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association and an advocate for ongoing education. He is focused on the development of his own education in order to continue to provide up-to-date and state of the art treatments for patients.
Cole believes he has a responsibility to train the medical providers of tomorrow by offering training in his area of expertise.
This is an addition that strengthens UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine’s growing team.
Cole will be seeing patients in Amherst at 4949 Harlem Road, in Orchard Park at 5959 Big Tree Road and at the Orthopaedic Hand Clinic located on the 3rd floor of the Snyder Building at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC).
