Spinal Surgery Specialist Joins UBMD Orthopaedics
BUFFALO, NY – Western New York’s largest orthopaedic and sports medicine group continues to grow with the addition of James P. Farrell, MD, a spinal surgery specialist.
Dr. Farrell completed his spinal surgery residency with UMBD Orthopaedics through the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. He completed his spine surgery fellowship at the University of Colorado in Denver.
Farrell was a featured presenter at the 15th Annual Scientific Program in 2021 where he presented on “Surgeon Ability to Contour Rods to Specific Sagittal Alignment Parameters.”
Farrell is also one of four featured authors in the American Journal of Sports Medicine in 2016 in the article titled, “Biomechanical Effects of a Horizontal Medical Meniscal Tear and Subsequent Leaflet Resection.”
This is an addition that strengthens UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine’s growing team.
Farrell will be seeing patients in Amherst at 4949 Harlem Road, in Orchard Park at 5959 Big Tree Road, and at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC).
