Sports medicine physician to see patients in Buffalo & Niagara Falls

Western New York’s largest orthopaedic and sports medicine group is growing again with the addition of Benjamin Levy, M.D., a sports medicine and general orthopaedic surgery specialist.

The latest physician to join the UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine team, Levy comes to Buffalo from the University of Connecticut where he was an adult and pediatric orthopaedic sports medicine fellow.

A native of Westchester, New York, Levy is excited to be relocating to Western New York and to be working with the members of the community. Levy graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, both located in The Bronx.

“I feel that a patient understanding their injury and their subsequent management options is paramount to good outcomes,” says Levy. “I thoroughly enjoy maintaining a relationship with patients and their other providers throughout the entire care process.”

Levy served as the team physician fellow for the University of Connecticut and Quinnipiac University. He is also actively involved in research and received the Arciero-Warner Research Award from the New England Shoulder and Elbow Society and was deemed an Emerging Leader by the American Orthopaedic Association.

Levy is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

He will see patients at the Erie County Medical Center and Summit Healthplex in Niagara Falls. He will have hospital privileges at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Levy will also be scheduling visits via telemedicine. Call UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine at 716.204.3200 to learn more or to make an appointment today.
