In conjunction with the “Science of Sports” exhibit at the Buffalo Museum of Science (sponsored in part by UB Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine), UBOSM physicians offered three lectures and a panel discussion on “Concussion & Sports Medicine”. The event targeted local athletic trainers, coaches, referees, and athletic directors. Buffalo Sabres broadcaster Kevin Sylvester served as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies.
Lectures on sports injuries and concussion were give by Marc Fineberg, M.D., John Leddy, M.D. (Director of the Concussion Clinic at UB) and Les Bisson, M.D.(Medical Director of the Buffalo Sabres). Following these presentations, a panel discussion took place that included former Buffalo Sabre Andrew Peters.
