The GreenFields Continuing Care Community will host “Stand Corrected,” a presentation and question-and-answer session about lower back pain and surgical and conservative treatment options, in partnership with UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
“Stand Corrected” is free and open to the public and is scheduled for Monday, May 1 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the auditorium at GreenField Health and Rehabilitation Center, located at 5949 Broadway in Lancaster. Complimentary refreshments will be served.
During the event, attendees will hear a presentation from Christopher L. Hamill, M.D., a spine surgeon at UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, and Patricia Mann, PT, DPT, the Director of Rehabilitation at GreenFields Continuing Care Community.
Dr. Hamill is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery with a special interest in spinal deformity surgery involving scoliosis, kyphosis, and flatback deformities in children and adults. He is a Clinical Associate Professor with the Department of Orthopaedics at the University at Buffalo and is the Co-Director of Spine Services at Buffalo General Medical Center. With more than 20 years of experience in orthopaedics and neurosurgery, Dr. Hamill is an expert on back and neck injuries.
Mann oversees inpatient and outpatient therapy services at The GreenFields Continuing Care Community. With more than 10 years of experience as an outpatient therapy director, she earned her Translational Doctorate in Physical Therapy and has since served in multiple leadership roles in the post-acute and home care settings. Her areas of expertise include orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation, geriatric care, and the management of medical complexities. Her areas of interest include manual and functional therapy and non-surgical interventions.
