I work with kids and adults of all ages, seeing patients with a wide variety of problems. The unique part of my training has been how to handle the complex problems of patients with cancer, working in a multi-disciplinary approach and with other surgeons. The benefit of having someone trained in orthopaedic oncology is that we see lots of different pathologies, both benign and malignant, and know the appropriate steps to take to treat those types of diseases. The most rewarding part of my job is treating the kids with primary bone tumors — being able to do a wide resection and give them the potential for a lifelong cure.
