Research Summary
My background as an athlete and as an athletic trainer continually inform my research. As an athletic trainer, I treat patients with sport related concussion frequently. I began my journey into research as a way to better understand how to serve my patients and to generate new knowledge for other clinicians. My primary research interests are in biomarkers (mircoRNA and Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor), aerobic exercise and sports-related concussion.
