Research Summary
Emily has been part of the Concussion Management Clinic and Research Center for the past year. She supervises all of the concussion and exercise physiology studies performed at the Concussion Research Center. Her specific research interests focus on understanding the physiology behind exercise intolerance commonly associated with sports-related concussions and seeing if these limitations are due to central or peripheral causes and has experience in quantification of autonomic nervous system test responses, pulmonary function testing, and non-cardiac stress testing. Emily has an interest in treating concussions with prescribed, sub-symptomatic aerobic exercise and has assisted in several multi-center exercise intervention trials for concussions.
