Philosophy

Growing up I was always interested in sports. I play sports, attended as many sporting events as I could, and spent a lot of weekends watching sports on TV. I guess you could say that I had a passion for sports. Then I took Biology, and I began to think about a career in the medical field. As I graduated from high school, I knew I wanted to find a career that could encompass medicine and sports. Once I learned about Athletic Training, I knew I found what I was looking for.

As an Athletic Trainer, I never know what each day will bring. I love the challenge of figuring out exactly what happened to an athlete, coming up with a treatment plan and working to get them back in their sport. There is no better feeling than seeing the entire process through. I see my athletes at their worst; but getting the through the rough times, and back on the field is the ultimate accomplishment. The pure joy I see on the faces of kids and parents when they get back into their sport is all I need. For me it is about the athletes and keeping them at the top of their game.
