Sports Safety: CPR/AED Awareness & Community Education
UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, Buffalo Black Nurses, Inc. and UBMD Emergency Medicine are working together to promote CPR and AED awareness with a variety of informational and hands-only training sessions throughout Western New York.
To date, more than 15,000 Western New York community members have been empowered with life-saving CPR/AED skills, thanks to the ongoing community education initiatives.

Join the Cardiac Crusade in registering automated external defibrillators (AEDs) throughout Western NY. AEDs are vital life saving devices during a cardiac arrest. The person who registers the most AEDs in Western NY from Jan 13 – 17, 2025 at 11:59 PM will win two Bud Light Club tickets to Sunday’s game vs the Ravens (1/19/25, 6:30 PM). Winner announced 1/18/25 at 12:00PM.
